A Very Sordid Wedding: Louisiana Film Premiere (Joy Theater, 2PM)
The Louisiana premiere of Del Shores' film about marriage equality in Texas will have its Louisiana premiere at The Joy. Comedian Jeff D will host the event, which will also feature a post-screening Q&A with Shores and Emerson Collins.
Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures (NOMA, 2PM)
As part of the Arts in Peril film series, NOMA will screen an HBO documentary that looks at the life and work of Robert Mapplethorpe. Known for his role within the 1970s-1980s New York arts scene, the photographer explored his sexuality, fetishes, and identity through his oftentimes controversial work, until his untimely death at 42 from HIV/AIDS complications.
Bourbon Street Extravaganza (Bourbon & St. Ann, 6:30PM)
The thirteenth annual Extravaganza is back with a new start time. Deborah Cox headlines the free concert, which will also feature Zoë Badwi, Jeanie Tracy, and Rowetta.
Mr. Leather Louisiana (Hi-Ho Lounge, 8PM)
"Meat" and greet this year's Lords of Leather, as men don their fetish finery to compete for the 2017 top title.
Juice Time with Creep Cuts (Uxi Duxi, 9PM)
"Everyone's favorite trickster homo cabaret dream sequence" Creep Cuts is hosting this variety show to end all other variety shows. Venture to Uxi Duxi for the house's signature Kava and Kratom beverages, and take in some drag, dance, indie music, hip hop, and "dada agitprop comedy realness."
The Black Party (The Bourbon Pub / Parade, 9PM)
DJ Kidd Madonny returns for another round of Decadence at the second floor party 'til dawn. Festivities include a Hot Ass Contest and midnight, live performance by SHOKRA, and pornstars Seth Santoro and Sean Duran making live appearances.
