The New Orleans Police Department saw two crimes hit the city on Sunday (8.27). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to a simple robbery and an armed robbery.
At 10:13PM, a 22-year-old woman was approached by two unknown subjects trying to sell her concert tickets. When the woman followed the duo to the 300 block of St. Charles Ave. to get the tickets, one of the subjects held her down while the other went through her purse. The duo then fled with cash, three bank cards, and an I.D. from her purse.
At 1:30AM, a 34-year-old woman was picked up by two unkown men at the intersection of Broad St. and Washington Ave. The men, who drove a dark colored sedan, offered to sell her drugs. The group drove to the 4500 block fo Chef Menteur Hwy., where one of the men pulled out a gun and demanded her purse. She complied, and the subjects fled.
