In the last 24 hours, the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) responded to two unclassified deaths, a rape, and two arguments that devolved into stabbings according to the Major Offense Log (MOL) for Thursday (5.12).

The NOPD logged two unclassified deaths. A 50-year-old man was found dead by his sister on the 2500 block of Ursulines Avenue at 6:20p.m. At 10:48p.m., a 26-year-old woman was found dead on the 5500 block of Clara Street.

A 15-year-old girl reported being raped last year by a known man on the 1700 block of Shepard said authorities.

At 9:00a.m., a 39-year-old man was cut by a woman that he was arguing with on the 2500 block of Avenue according to police. The MOL noted that his wounds were not life threatening.

Words also execrated into violence on the 3200 block of Third Street. The Department stated that words between a 44-year-old man and 39-year-old Michelle Williams turned into a struggle over car keys. Williams allegedly hit the man in the face several times and then stabbed him. She was arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery (Cutting). The victim took himself to the hospital where he received treatment.
