Jazz Fest Weather Watch

The skies are getting dark just in time to guarantee that the Fair Grounds will be appropriately muddy for Jazz Fest’s second weekend. Most of Louisiana, including Orleans Parish, is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 3p.m. according the National Weather Service (NWS). The agency also predicts chances of showers throughout the Fest, save for a clear Saturday (4.30).

Temperatures should remain in the mid to low 70’s for most of the Fest with chances of rain bouncing between 20 and 40 percent forecast the NWS. Saturday is the exception with no mention of precipitation and the mercury predicted to hit 84 degrees.
