Three armed robberies were the only crime that the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) reported in the last 24 hours according to the Major Offense Log (MOL) for Tuesday (4.27).
In the Quarter, a 22-year-old man was mugged by an armed man on the 600 block of Governor Nicholls Street around 10:15p.m. according to authorities. The suspect fled to parts unknown with the victim’s money.
NOPD PIO Dawne Massey reported that six gunmen ambushed a 26-year-old man as he was turning in his rental car at the Enterprise on the 6700 block of Virgilian Street at 10:32p.m. Massey explained that the victim handed over his valuables and the perps drove off in the rental car.
At 1:27a.m., a 39-year-old man was getting out of his car on the 2700 block of Dreux Street when a gun wielding suspect demanded his belongings stated the police PIO. The MOL noted that the victim complied and the suspect fled.
