Seven people were shot across New Orleans in three incidents that happened over a 12-hour stretch between Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. One of the victims died, marking the City's latest homicide. NOPD detectives are also searching for a suspect in a French Quarter cutting that happened last weekend in Pere Antoine Alley. Murder in New Orleans East
A man was killed Sunday night in New Orleans East, police said. The incident happened about 8 p.m. near the corner of Chef Menteur Highway and America St.
Police found the man lying on the ground. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
EMS workers took the man to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The man was not immediately identified by authorities.
Triple Shooing in Lower Mid-City
Three people were injured when someone fired into a car early Monday morning, police said. Before 4 a.m., three people were sitting in a car near the corner of S. Johnson St. and Perdido St.
Another car pulled up, and someone inside opened fire. A man inside the initial car sustained a gunshot wound to the back. Bullets also grazed two women who were inside the car to the arms and legs. The shooting victims were all listed in stable condition at a local hospital following the incident, according to officer Hilal Williams, a spokesperson for NOPD.
Triple Shooting in Algiers
Three men were injured in a Sunday afternoon shooting in Algiers, police said. Before 3 p.m., the men were standing outside a home, when someone walked up and opened fire.
The men — ages 19, 21 and 35 — were all taken to the hospital in private vehicles. Williams said they were in stable condition on Sunday afternoon.
French Quarter Cutting Suspect Sought
Detectives are looking for a suspect who allegedly cut another man during a drug deal in the French Quarter.
About 1:30 a.m. on May 18, police say a 31-year-old man was buying drugs from the suspect in Pere Antoine Alley (near the corner of Royal St. and Orleans Ave.).
The suspect took the man's money. At some point during the exchange, the suspect then took out a knife and stabbed the man.
Police said the suspect ran up the alley, then turned onto Royal St. Surveillance video captured the man leaving the scene:
The suspect is described as about 25-30 years old. He is about 6 ft. tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has dark brown hair, and had a five o'clock shadow.

French Quarter Fraud
Police are looking for two suspects who stole credit cards from a woman in April, and used them in the French Quarter. On April 8, the woman was in the 600 block of Loyola Ave., and got into a car with a man and woman who offered her a ride back to her hotel.
When she arrived back at the hotel, the woman who took the ride discovered that her credit cards were missing. She later found that the credit cards were used to make purchases in the French Quarter by the two people who offered her a ride.
