Today, the Critical Mass Bike Ride will depart from Jackson Square, Big Sam will play Tip's, and Khris Royal will play the Maple Leaf. 6:00PM: Critical Mass Bike Ride- It’s that time of the month, to take over the road, and more importantly, stop for drinks along the way! Two wheel enthusiasts meet in the Square around 6, and usually take off 30-45 minutes after that. Feel the pedals beneath your feet, the wind in your hair, the car horns in your ears…(Jackson Square)


9:00PM: Big Sam’s Funky Nation- Sammie’s been away, but returns to close out September with The Stooges uptown this Friday. Brass is in the air, with Second Lines back on the streets, the Saints back in the dome, and Big Sam at Tips. 10:30PM: Khris Royal & Dark Matter- Big Sam at Tips, and Khris Royal in the Riverbend? Take your pick…Mr. Royal has been away himself, touring and recording with Rebelution, a West Coast force of rock and reggae, and plays his own CD Release Party at the Maple Leaf; $10, 21+ (Maple Leaf)
