Sarah Esenwein

Sarah Esenwein comes to us from Houston, TX…but she’s been metamorphosing into a true NOLA local for the past 7 years as she worked as Executive Producer for the Walton and Johnson Radio Program.  In that time, she developed a deep love and connection to the spirit and character of New Orleans and found it the only place to be when she wanted to get the hell out of that studio.

Returning from broadcasting back to the roots of an original ambition of journalism, Sarah has found that writing for Nola Defender is possibly one of the best gigs around.  She finds being able to cover everything NOLA from sports and city to arts and culture, and especially the food, awesome in every way.

When she’s not working up a hot piece, Sarah is out at City Park walking her son, a friendly little mini-pinuaua named Teddy or checking out the pulse of her new home.
