WWL Radio to Broadcast Hornets Games

The Hornets' radio days are ahead of them. As part of a deal announced late last week, local sports dial destination WWL Radio is signed on to carry the NBA team's games for the foreseeable future. They won't have Jim Henderson doing play-by-play but there will be an ex-Times-Picayuner in the booth. Former sports columnist John DeShazier will join Hornets voice Sean Kelley. The station will also produce a Thursday night show with Hornets Head Coach Monty Williams. Hornets/Saints owner Tom Benson said he "couldn't be happier."
