The festivities only get bigger tonight, with acts from Mali, South Africa and right here in New Orleans. To finish it all off, Neil Young takes the stage with Crazy Horse tonight. Here's some cube selections for Friday, Oct. 26: Neil Young and Crazy Horse (Le Ritual, 9 pm) Mr. Young is a little bit older now, but he’s still rockin’ in the free world. The golden voice of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, America and Crazy Horse, Neil Young transcends rock n’ roll. In an age of formulaic indie pop and electronica, Young harkens back to a time when bringing the rock was the only priority. By the time it's over, you, too, will be asking, "Who is Bono?" George Porter, Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners (WWOZ/ Bud Light, 6 pm) If you’ve seen him at the Maple Leaf or jammin out with The Meters, you’ll know he’s not a bassist to miss. George Porter, Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners bring the funk at every show. Voodoo will be no different. Die Antwoord (Le Plur/ The Red Bulliten, 5:45 pm) This eclectic South African trio takes electronic rave music to a different level. With vocals by rapper Ninja and signer Yo-Landi Vi$$er, the band stays close to their hip-hop roots. Cheick Hamala Diabate (Preservation Hall, 7 pm) From Mali to the United States, this well-rounded musician merges traditional African music with a little bit of funk. Diabate, a Grammy nominee, has mastered the n’goni, a West African instrument akin to the lute. Chill out to the sweet sounds of the n’goni. Supagroup (Le Carnival, 6:45 pm) For those of you missing the days of hard rock, check out these local bros, as they slam on guitar for face–melting solos.
