Voodoo Sunday: Jack White, Nas, Skrillex to Play Today

It's the last day of Voodoo, and there's a little something for everyone between the five stages at the festival. Rock out with Jack White, bump your head to some electronic music, get real with Nas, or enjoy The New Orleans Bingo Show's interactive blend of cabaret, rock, and traditional New Orleans music. Read on for Sunday's picks.

Jack White (Le Ritual Stage, 7:30)

The front man of the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, and the Dead Weather is at Le Ritual Stage, making a stop in the Big Easy for the fourth time in four years. You’ll likely hear the masterful guitarist playing tracks from Blunderbuss, but you never know. White Stripes fans might get some of their old favorites.

Le Plur/Bulletin (Skrillex, 6:15)

Dubstep lovers, get ready to feel the electronic beat tonight at the Le Plur Stage. Skrillex is back at Voodoo this year, promising fans a technological journey complete with light shows, deep bass sounds, and heavy, discordant synthy beats.

Kid Koala (Preservation Hall, 7:30)

He’s in town from Canada, all the way down in NOLA for Voodoo. If you’re not familiar with the turntabling, DJ-ing, graphic novel writing alternative musician, check him out this evening at the Preservation Hall Stage.

Nas (Le Ritual Stage, 6pm)

Hiphop sensation Nas is in town tonight, and he’s bound to put on a good show. Nasir “Nas” Bin Olu Dara Jones’ latest project Life is Good is the eleventh successful studio album from the veteran rapper.

The New Orleans Bingo Show (Le Carnival Stage, 7pm)

Looking for a little involvement from the crowd with your musical experience? Come out and see the New Orleans Bingo Show tonight! The show blends New Orleans style music, rock, and more with a cabaret-style set.
