Veteran Times-Picayune Reporter Lands at Audubon Nature Institute One of the Times-Picayune's longtime reporters is heading to work for the Audubon Nature Institute. Frank Donze, a 35-year reporter who covered City Hall, elections and other civic affairs, is taking over as Director of Communications at the Institute, which oversees the Audubon Zoo, Aquarium, Insectarium and more, on August 1.
"As Communications Director at Audubon, Frank will work with the Audubon team to share information about projects, programs, and animals with the public," Institute President Ron Forman said in a statement. "He is a well respected journalist and will bring unique insight to telling the Audubon story. "
Donze announced his retirement from the T-P in the wake of the cuts to the staff and publication schedule. He long covered political campaigns, City Hall spats and various public bodies including City Park, the Saengar Theatre and much more. He was also a frequent contributor to the New Orleans political roundup that offered vignettes from City Council meetings, and inside baseball from the halls of power. |
