Dana Kaplan’s Run Dana Run Campaign will be celebrating their first victory this evening at Victory Restaurant. Tonight, catch Rebirth, the Treme Brass Band, and Meschiya Lake at their regular gigs.

Rebirth Brass Band (Maple Leaf Bar, 10pm)

When they're not on tour, they're populating local venues around the Big Easy. The Tuesday night regulars are back again this week, bringing brass, funk, hip-hop, and jazz to Oak St. 

Crescent City Farmer’s Market (Broadway St. Market, 9am-1pm)

Every Tuesday, the farmer’s market heads to their spot at The Riverbend, 200 Broadway St. Local chefs and growers bring seafood, fresh produce, and homemade creations every week, rain or shine. Check out the Green Plate Special for some ready-made treats!

Run Dana Run Campaign, (Victory Restaurant, 5:30pm)

Kaplan’s team is holding a press conference today to celebrate her run against Eric Strachan and LaToya Cantrell. Kaplan collected more than the minimum 1,000 signatures, and they’ll host a kickoff party tonight at 5:30 to celebrate their District B candidate.   

Maple St. Book Shop Book Club (The Healing Center, 7pm)

It’s Maple Street’s first meeting for their downtown location’s book club, and they’ll be discussing Yes, Chef, a memoir by Marcus Samuelsson. The meeting will take place in Fatoush.
