Today in NOLA: 8.7.14

Let Me Find Out! New Orleans’ 5th Ward Weebie premieres the video for his runaway local hit at Republic tonight. Today’s the last chance to catch French Film Festival selections at the Prytania. Plus, Tracy Letts’ Bug opens at the Allways Lounge, and Tank and the Bangas perform at the Ogden Museum. Happy Thursday! See the full details tonight:

French Film Festival (Prytania Theatre, beginning 12p.m.)
At noon, A Summer’s Tale, Éric Rohmer’s 1996 story of seaside summer romance. At 5:30, Mood Indigo, the well-received new film from Michel Gondry, director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science at Sleep. And finally, at 8, Abuse of Weakness, a new, quasi-autobiographical drama from provocative auteur Catherine Breillat.

Ogden After Hours (Ogden Museum of Southern Art, 6-8p.m.)
This week, the Ogden Museum’s evening music series features Tank and the Bangas. Plus, an activity table to occupy kids and Miss Linda’s Soul Food to cater to your dinnertime cravings. Admission $10.

Happy Thursday Bike Ride (Dat Dog on Freret, 7p.m.)
NOLA Social Ride celebrates Red Dress Run this weekend with a Red Dress Ride, starting at the original Dat Dog location on Freret. Gents: don’t get your skirts caught in your bike chains. Join the club beforehand for hot dog and drink specials, and after at Grits Bar. Happy Thursday!

Bug (Allways Lounge, 8p.m.)
Agnes is a cocktail waitress with little in her life—until she meets Peter, a Gulf War vet with paranoid tendencies, and gradually falls under his spell. This month, Allways Lounge hosts a staging of Bug, a darkly comedic play written by actor and playwright Tracy Letts.

5th Ward Weebie (Republic, 10p.m.)
We’ve all seen the YouTube slideshow clip, but tonight, Weebie unveils the real video for "Let Me Find Out" at a special release party at Republic. The bounce rapper also has plans for a fifth solo album. But Weebs: where is Part Two?
