Today, Jazz in the Park and Ogden After Hours offer up music to let loose by after work. Then, Bounce is at Republic, and Zydeco's Lil Wayne steps out at Rock 'n Bowl. On this day in 1961, Ernie K-Doe's Mother-in-Law hit number 1 on the Billboard charts. Now for more of today:


New Orleans Wine and Food Experience

The massive foodie show featuring local and national restaurants, wineries, chefs, sommeliers and more rolls on. Today's big events include the Vinola Tasting (2:30 p.m., Omni Royal Orleans Hotel Ballroom) and the Royal Street Stroll in the French Quarter (5:30 p.m., Royal St.). All events are ticketed.


Jazz in the Park (Armstrong Park, 4 p.m.)

The weekly series bringing music to Congo Square features Bonerama and the N'Awlins Johnnys. 


Bounce XXVII (Republic, 11 p.m.)

The Warehouse District's semi-regular twerk night returns. Tonight's lineup includes Big Freedia, 5th Ward Weebie, Hasizzle, Killy Keys and Lil Man. $10 cover.


Ogden After Hours (Ogden Museum, 6-8 p.m.)

The Camp St. museum's Thursday night soundscape offers a trifecta of local musicians, with vocalist Debbie Davis, sousaphone specialist Matt Perrine and Joshua Paxton. $10 cover.


Zydeco Night (Rock 'n Bowl, 8:30 p.m.)

The Mid-City lanes trade the bowling shoes for dancing duds on Thursday night. Tonight, Lil Wayne Singleton and Same 'Ol 2 Step. $12 cover.


Young Frankenstein (Rivertown Theaters, 8 p.m.)

Rivertown Theaters in Kenner presents Mel Brooks' musical monster mash. Directed by Ricky Graham, the musical features Tracy E. Collins, Gary Rucker and Elise Harvey.
