On this day in history, the Canal Street streetcar made its last run (1964). Don't make the last train before checking these out:

 

Jazz in the Park (Armstrong Park, 5:00pm) Weekly concert in the park. This evening, Cyril Neville, Glen David Andrews’ protégés-band Baby Boyz Brass Band, and bass-heavy DJ Quickie Mart perform.

 

Bill Summers presents the New Urban Music Movement (Irving Mayfield’s I Club, JW Marriott Hotel, 8:00pm) One of our town’s most renowned drummers, Bill Summers performs at the club owned by his cohort in Los Hombres Calientes, Irvin Mayfield.

 

Allstar Comedy Revue (House of Blues Voodoo Garden, 8:00pm) Leon Blanda hosts a comedy show with special guests in the French Quarter. Free,

Ricky Graham’s Show of Shows (Mid-City Theatre, 2540 Toulouse Street, 8:30pm) Kicking off tonight, the three-night show was NOLA impresario, Ricky Graham’s closing event at Le Chat Noir, where he sang and danced to the funny highlights of past acts. Tonight, he continues to celebrate 26 years of New Orleans Cabaret, and will be joined by Jefferson Turner on piano and Yvette Hargis on laughs. $25 tickets.
