It’s All Saints Day, and there’s a lot to do to celebrate in the Big Easy. Enjoy some free jazz in the park, get down on Canal, or get political with Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. A big Who Dat Happy Birthday to the New Orleans Saints. They became the 16th NFL football team on November 1, 1966. 

 

Jazz in the Park (Louis Armstrong Park, 6pm)

 

This week hear Irvin Mayfield teamed up with Bill Summers, followed by a performance from Leroy Jones! Don’t forget to come hungry and thirsty and hit up the food vendors that keep this free festival alive.

 

Kirk Joseph's Backyard Groove (Chickie Wah Wah, 10pm)

 

Come down to Canal and jam all night with New Orleans’ favorite sousaphonist from the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Grab a bite to eat or just a beer and dance all night for all Saints day.

 

Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Mid City Theatre, 8pm)

 

Come out and see the raucous tale of Old Hickory in Mid City. Directed by JJ Allegra, in Mid City tonight. The rock musical explores Jackson’s contentious legacy.

 

Bounce Night (The Republic, 10pm)

 

Bounce off the Halloween candy at The Republic tonight! It's Bounce XX with Big Freedia, Sissy Nobby, DJ Jubilee, and more! Expect some surprise performances from some other favorites.
