Check out some post punk at House of Blues, see a powerful performance of Les Mis in the Treme, and ladies drink free at Siberia from 10-11pm. On this day in Louisiana’s history (1762) the Treaty of Fontainebleau ceded the colony of Louisiana to Spain.
The Psychedelic Furs + The Chevin + My Jerusalem (House of Blues, 9pm)
They’ve been around since 1977, and the post-punk Brits are stopping in the Big Easy. Fellow post-punkers and emerging artists The Chevin and My Jerusalem will join the Furs on stage for a night full of synthy, experimental fun.
Les Miserables (Mahalia Jackson Theatre, 8pm)
It’s the second night of the musical, which means those who missed the opening event have four more chances to catch the Boubil and Schonberg classic. Head to the Tremé for a powerful performance.
