Third Time's A Charm: Mayor Landrieu to Give State of the City Address This Week

May this be lucky number three. After rescheduling his long-awaited State of the City Address two times prior, Mayor Mitch Landrieu is set to give his speech this week at the Civic Theatre.

Landrieu previously rescheduled his final address after the shooting of Steve Scalise and the impending Tropical Storm Cindy. The annual address traditionally sees the mayor laying out plans for the year ahead. As the race for his replacement intensifies and the 300th anniversary of the city approaches, expect to hear some of Landrieu's thoughts about the past, present, and future of New Orleans.

On Thursday, June 6th, Landrieu will take the stage at the Civic to give his last address as mayor. The event is free and open to the public to attend. Doors will open at 4:30PM, with the proceedings kicking off at 5:30PM. If you are unable to attend, the event will be livestreamed at
