Mardi Gras Indians Step Out for Super Sunday (Photos)

Yesterday marked Super Sunday 2017, the third and final celebration of the year when Mardi Gras Indians don their suits and masks. In addition to all of the festive dress, the fête also featured strutting from the Young Men Olympians and the Lady Buckjumpers, and live music by the Hot 8 Brass Band, Young Pinstripe Brass Band, D.J. Captain Charles, Big Al Carson, D.J. Jubilee, Dave Lemon, To Be Continued Brass Band, and B.R.W. Singing Group.

Photographer Timothy Parris ventured out to A.L. Davis Park to capture the Mardi Gras Indians in their Super Sunday finery.
