St. Claude StompA NoDef Photo EssayMARIGNY - Every Monday night, New Orleanians of an old-time persuasion gather in song circle at the Hi-Ho Lounge for an evenin' of strummin' and harmonizin'.
Located at the corner of St. Claude Ave. and Marigny St., a dive bar that boasts a cage as its primary decorative feature may not seem the place for down home tunes. But the songs - and the adept group of musicians that turns out week after week - fill the space with a welcoming warmth. Cheap red beans and rice also helps. NoDef attended last night's party.
