So Fresh and So Green: Hollygrove's Garden Party

Whether you buy their veggies straight from the source or eat them plated at restaurants like Tivoli & Lee, most NOLA folks have enjoyed produce from Hollygrove Market (8301 Olive Street). Tomorrow night, the farm’s fans can show some love at the nonprofit’s Fourth Annual Party in the Garden.

Pravda@Perestroika (soon to be Cane and Table) Satsuma, Café Hope, Martinique Bistro, Sylvain, Cleaver & Co., Boucherie, Pizza Delicious, Patois, and High Hat are just a handful of the 20 restaurants that will provide the grub at tomorrow night’s event.

Although the focus is on the food, mixologists will be on site building topnotch cocktails with fresh fruit and locally distilled spirits from 360 Vodka, Cathead Vodka, Nola Brewing, French Truck Coffee, Old New Orleans Rum, Atelier Vie, and Benziger Family Winery. Check Hollygrove’s website for a full list of food and drink vendors.

No Crescent City shindig would be complete without live music, and the Honey Island Swamp Band Trio with Alvin Youngblood Hart will headline, with an opening set from Ron Hotstream & the F-Holes. The Goodnight Show with John Calhoun will host the live auction.

The party will take place tomorrow, May 20, from 6pm-9pm. Purchase tickets ahead of time for $40, and $45 at the door. For the price, guests will get to drink, eat, and dance to their hearts’ delight. Proceeds will go towards the organization’s kids’ farm education programs, as well as “the development of [their] market space,” according to their event page.
