The August 24 incident happened around 1 a.m., when a man entered the Marigny sandwich hotspot at the corner of St. Claude and Elysian Fields Avenues, wearing a shirt over his head, and pointed a semiautomatic gun at the cashier. He made off with $375 from the register. The suspect is described as a 40-year-old black male, about 5'10" tall and weighing 180 lbs. The entire incident was caught on Gene's security cameras.
