The New Orleans Police Department saw seven crimes hit the city on Wednesday (4.19). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to two armed robberies, a shooting, a rape, a simple robbery, attempted burglary, and an unclassified death.

A 25-year-old man was barhopping on Bourbon St., when he left the final establishment with two women to go to a gas station on the 2300 block of S. Claiborne Ave. At around 6:28AM, the man was robbed at gunpoint upon exiting the gas station by an unknown male. Police did not state if they suspect the two women to have had any involvement in the armed robbery.

At 8:40AM, First Platoon detectives were called to respond to a second armed robbery on the 2600 block of S. Claiborne Ave. at Advance Auto Parts. A subject attempted to leave the store with two stolen auto craft tow sets, each valued at $49.99. When the cashier attempted to stop the theft, the subject drew a knife and fled the location.

Police were called to the 3300 block of Danneel St. at around 2:27PM following reports of a 53-year-old man suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. The man was transported to a nearby hospital. NOPD officers did not include whether he is in stable condition.

At 7:15PM, a juvenile female was sexually assaulted on the 2600 block of Annette St.

A 61-year-old woman was taking items out of her car at around 11:03PM on the 1100 block of Henriette Delille when three men approached the scene. One of the perps grabbed her purse and fled northbound.

On the 300 block of S. Clark St., a 24-year-old heard a noise at his back door at 12:30AM. A subject punched a hole in the back door and shot a gun once before fleeing the scene. The MOL did not record if a suspected motive has been established at this point in the investigation.

A 30-year-old woman was discovered by her roommate slumped over on the sofa in their home on the 5100 block of Bienville St. She was pronounced on scene at around 3:36AM.
