Overnight Crime Report: Three Armed Robberies, Unclassified Death, Two Shootings, Simple Robbery, Armed Burglary


The New Orleans Police Department saw eight crimes hit the city on Saturday (7.15). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to three armed robberies, unclassified death, two shootings, simple robbery, and an armed burglary. 

 

At 5:55AM, an unknown subject entered a Rouses on the 4500 block of Tchoupitoulas St. with a gun. Two listed victims, a 63-year-old woman and 65-year-old man, saw the man demand to go to the cash room, before stealing an unknown amount of money and fleeing. 

 

A 47-year-old man was found unresponsive in his office on the 1900 block of Perdido St by a coworker at 10:53AM. He was pronounced dead on scene.

 

At 11:06AM, two unknown men were shot inside a residence on the 3100 block of Preston Pl. Both were brought to a local hospital for treatment. Their current condition is unknown. 

 

A 25-year-old man was involved in a verbal altercation at 11:26AM on the 1300 block of France St. At some point, he was shot by an unknown male subject. He was brought to a hospital for treatment, his current condition is unknown. 

 

A 14-year-old male and 12-year-old male were arrested after a robbery at 5:45PM on the 1800 block of Rousseau St. The duo was walking with some acquaintances when the 14-year-old punched a 12-year-old male victim in the face, and then grabbed his cell phone. The teen ran off with the 12-year-old subject. They were arrested at their residence. 

 

At the intersection of S. Coronet and Parc Brittany, three juveniles surrounded the car of a 41-year-old woman at 6:50PM. One of the perps jumped on the top of the car, while another pointed a gun at her and demanded her property. She complied, and the three perps fled with a fossil watch and bag containing $365. 

 

At 9:47PM, an armed subject entered a Family Dollar on the 3100 block of St. Claude. The subject took money from the register and safe before fleeing. 

 

Three armed males “stormed” into a 28-year-old man’s residence on the 3100 block of N. Villere. One of the perps held a gun to his head and made him get on the floor, then the perps stole his wallet, phone, laptop, and camera and then fled.
