Most Wanted Brass Band Stream New Album Free for Mardi Gras

Just in time for Mardi Gras, a new brass band hit the streets with a few recognizable members. A handful of former members of the Stooges Brass Band have reformed as the Most Wanted Brass Band. The band recorded a CD that's already making the rounds, and they're posting up at the Hi-Ho Lounge (2239 St. Claude Ave.) for a Tuesday night residency. Click through for a fresh Mardi Gras soundtrack:

Members include Virgil Tiller, Ersel Bogan III, Alfred Growe III, Virgil Tiller, Christopher Cotton, Glenn Preston, Antoine Coleman, Clifton Smith Burnell Edwards, Clifton Smith and Chris Davis.

The unit will be on hand at St. Claude to close out Mardi Gras with a host of brass bands including Pinettes, Panorama, 21st Century and more. The party continues into the St. Claude Ave. club at 5 p.m.

For those that can't make the party, the band is streaming six tracks free now. (Below)

"This is a Mardi Gras giveaway," bandleader Ersel Bogan III said of the CD. "We want people to get acquainted with us as Most Wanted, though they know our names and faces already."
