Beer Bandit: Miller Delivery Truck Stolen in French QuarterLast week, good Samaritans recovered Skeeter from the clutches of auto-theft, and the NOPD is enlisting the public’s help once again in locating a thief that kidnapped some of the city's most precious cargo. A Miller Beer delivery truck was stolen from the French Quarter at 8am this morning, in the 600 block of Decatur St., and law enforcement is offering a cash reward for the lowlife with the High Life.
The driver briefly left his vehicle near Jax Brewery to make deliveries, and he returned to find a vacant parking spot. The keys were inside of the truck, and the doors were unlocked when it was lifted. Currently, there are no leads on a High Life-seeking suspect.
Detective Jason Sloan is on the case, and law enforcement is seeking the public’s help in locating the person responsible.
The 2006 International Truck is blue and yellow and displays “Miller Beer,” on the rear and sides. The Crescent Crown owned vehicle has a Louisiana license plate, number B710261.
Anyone with information about the stolen goods can call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-STOP, or visit the their website. Callers can submit information anonymously, and could receive up to $1,000 cash reward. |
