Man Arrested for Shooting 5 After Warren Easton Basketball Game A man who shot five people following a Warren Easton High School basketball game Friday was taken into custody yesterday, police said. Shawn Ballard, 18, was charged with five counts of second degree murder after he turned himself into police Monday, according to New Orleans police spokeswoman Remi Braden. Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, NOPD says Ballard fired into a crowd at the corner of Iberville and N. Gayoso. Ballard was targeting someone in the crowd with whom he has an ongoing feud, police said. All of the shooting victims in the case sustained non-life-threatening wounds. |
