Mad Cao, Part Deux
If Anh 'Joseph' Cao read it on the Internet, it must be true. 'Da Paper has a big old feature today on unsavory stuff the Congressman wants you to know about his opponent Cedric Richmond's past. But wait! Something seems amiss! Cao - who as a Republican Congressman and well-funded candidate has presumably ample access to resources who can dig some shit up - frequently cites his sources as websites, then says he's still investigating all of these allegations. Don't people usually do that before they go to the paper? Details after the jump.
The exhumed sagas include the one about how he steered money toward a nonprofit where his supposed then-girlfriend was executive director. If you were a curious voter, you could've read about these allegations on American Zombie in August. The Zombie has fed on enough brains to produce some shady stuff, but Cao doesn't seem to completely think so, as he's having his people look into it. And there's more!
Cao's primary media consultant is apparently behind this blog, which has been really carefully suggesting a supposed Richmond involvement in domestic violence without wielding any facts, and unearthing info about a Richmond political consultant who was allegedly involved in a murder. Cao is clearly envious of Helena Moreno and James Perry, but you're gonna need some mailers to enter their territory, Joe. You know, things you can touch..that aren't on the Internet...
