London Not Calling for Pair of American Hornets, Nigerian Heading to OlympicsUpdate 9:30 p.m. Two New Orleans Hornets were finalists to play for country at the 2012 Summer Olympics. But, in the end, neither made the cut. Crown jewel of Hornets' recent draft triumph Anthony Davis and guy we barely knew Eric Gordon were both left off the final roster for next month's playoff across the pond. Davis will play in the Hornets' summer league, while Gordon will go back to begging to leave us.
9:30 p.m. Turns out, there is a Hornet going to London. Forward Al-Farouq Aminu is headed to the Olympics thanks to a win today by his Nigerian national team, Hornets 24-7 reports. |
