But the legendary local company that saw its factory burn down Friday launched a strategy to give the public a stake in ensuring that the pies will be a surplus of joy to New Orleans once again. Savory Simon's colleagues, who say they plan to reopen in 2013, are offering a chance to become an angel investor in the rebuilding of the factory, and they're offering sweet returns. The offer: Buy one case of Hubig's - to be delivered after they reopen - for $50. The money will help rebuild the factory. Details here.
