Full Force in MidCity

Bars, Parties, & Specials Along Endymion's Route

Carnival pros have their spots staked out on the uptown parade route, sometimes for generations. However, Endymion rolls on a different path. MidCity presents a separate set of bars and bathrooms for bead-catchers to frequent. NoDef committed a handy list of venues and specials to check out.


Wake of Endymion (Motha Roux House, 642 N. Hennessey St.) All-day party by the route featuring music on two stages. Sets by De Lune Deluge, Dead Marshes, Kismet Continuum, and Merle Swaggard. There will also be live painting, projections, worm-whole installations, art market, giant hoolahoops, girls with cobra snakes, virtual unreality simulations, and a special appearance by Agent Fox Smolder and Dana Skullbones.

Twelve Mile Limit (500 S. Telemachus St.) Bar opens at 10 a.m. Food

trucks La Cocinita and Burgers Ya Heard. Music from Sweet Crude and Dirty Bourbon River Show.


Pearl Wine Co. (3700 Orleans Ave.) Endymion Block Party, starting at
