Bastille Day Waiters & Bartenders Race, Winners Announced

Many of New Orleans' French traditions have faded throughout the years, but the Bastille Day Waiters Race is thriving in the Big Easy. Servers slapped on their funniest, froggiest attire, and headed to the French Market for yesterday's hospitality challenge. Photographer Brandon Robert caught some of the action, and NoDef has the winners.

Since 2012, the race has taken the spirit(s) of the city into account and invited bartenders.

In the bartenders race, it was down to the wire between 01 (Antoine's) and 12 (Society Page).  01 at the very end (probably 20 ft. from the finish line) spilled one of his glasses, making 12 the winner.

  • 3rd Place:   Daniel Victory, Victory bar
