Esplanade Ave. Movie Production Mansion to Start Spinning Reels in the Fall A group of partnering film production companies have completed a five-year renovation project to a historic Esplanade Ave. building, and are looking to open up shop in September. Seven Arts Entertainment will operate production and post-production work for movies in the mansion at the corner of Esplanade Ave. and Bourbon St. Hollywood South mainly relied on location shooting for initial growth, but local post-production facilities mean more movies will be completed here, as well.
Seven Arts projects that they will collect $8 million in tax credits between film infrastructure and historic rehabilitation benefits for bringing the three-story Whann Bohn House, which was constructed in 1859, back to commerce.
The French Quarter-adjacent building will house editing and sound facilities. |

I lived there 2002-2003 it used to have the most incredible ceiling mural from 1865 in the main room and the walls were original hand painted plaster then some condo guy painted over it all in 2004 or so.......it is an amazing building
