Entergy: Isaac Could Cost $500M


Along with the patience and sympathy of the South Louisiana public, Entergy also lost some serious money and resources in the outages of Hurricane Isaac. The power company estimates the storm will cost between $400-500 million total, with $50-$60 million of that coming from Entergy New Orleans and $240-$300 million from Entergy Louisiana, which juices up part of New Orleans and the rest of the state. Total damage included 4,500 poles and 2,000 transformers. Isaac also knocked 95 transmission lines out of service along with 144 substations.
