Edwin Edwards Reality Show Coming in February

EWE TV is set to become a reality. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Edwin Edwards and his new wife Trina will at last be on cable with the debut of the couple's much-ballyhooed reality show next month. The Governor's Wife will premiere Feb. 27 on A&E according to the celeb news source.

According to the report, the show will focus on the relationship between EWE and Trina, as well as Edwards' daughters Anna and Victoria (ages 62 and 60), and Trina's sons Logan and Trevor (ages 15 and 13). The Edwards represent a "new take on the modern family," according to a show description.

Following his 10-year prison term for racketeering charges, the legendary Louisiana character picked up where he left off. At 85 years old, Edwards is married to a woman 51 years his junior, and is still good for a quip any time there's a camera in his face. Since there will be no shortage of cameras, we can only assume the latter will follow.

During the fall, he was reportedly trying to become a father, again. Before his birthday roast in 2011, Edwards told assembled media that he wanted a reality show about his family to be, above all, realistic.

“If they’re not willing to show it as it is…I’m not going to participate,” he says.

Stay tuned...
