Early Voters Line Up at City Hall to Cast BallotsIt’s looking more and more like we’re facing a close election in the upcoming days, as indicated by the booing Madonna received this weekend at her performance in New Orleans for endorsing President Obama’s re election. It seems all the suspense has motivated people in the Big Easy to take their strong opinions to the polls to cast their ballots ahead of schedule.
Those who can't wait until November 6 due to work conflicts, transportation concerns, or just plain eagerness to contribute to democracy should head to City Hall early. Walk in, follow the signs, and line up to make your voice heard. Algiers residents not need take a ferry to participate, they can also vote early at the Algiers Courthouse until tomorrow at 6pm.
Jefferson Parish residents can vote early in Harahan (1221 Elmwood Park Blvd), the Westbank (5001 Westbank Expressway, Suite C-2) , Kenner (408 Minor St.), and Grand Isle (3211 La. Highway 1). |
