Duck Dynasty Christmas Album Tops the Charts

The stars of Duck Dynasty have gotten involved in politics and publicized their redemption story. But the Robertson family's vault to international celebrity had one last hurdle before 2013 was over: the Christmas album. This week, the family conquered the holidays as well, as Duck the Halls went to the top of the Billboard charts.

The Robertsons are looking to have a successful holiday season, as the family's Christmas album hit no. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart this week. The pre-Thanksgiving rise likely means there are many more weeks to come.

Benny Grunch may always be tops for South Louisiana-spiced Christmas music, but the Robertsons seek to stake out their native North by offering their own odes of bayou-letide cheer. Willie Robertson's "Ragin' Cajun Redneck Christmas" gives the Acadian response to the Red Green Christmas special, and the Sportsman's Paradise also gets a special shoutout in "Camoflauge Christmas."

Like many an unlikely, one-off recording artist before them, the Robertsons also get by with a little help from their friends. Bluegrass diva Alison Krauss joins Sadie Robertson on "Away in a Manger," while country star George Strait teams up with Phil Robertson on "Christmas Cookies."

Ever the entrepreneurs, the Robertsons have their own music licensing company: 4 Beards Music Group LLC.
