Dine Out for a Difference this ThursdayPeople in New Orleans are always finding charitable excuses to have a good time, and locals need no excuse to eat. The NO/AIDS Task Force is capitalizing on the culinary culture with their annual, citywide “Dining Out for Life” event. On Thursday, July 19, restaurants from Metairie to the Marigny will be donating at least 25 percent of their profits to one of Louisiana’s most at-risk populations, and patrons won’t have to pay a penny extra.
Those who wish to go the extra mile can enter into a drawing to win a seven-night vacation to the Palm Island Resort in the Grenadines. All they have to do is bring a donation envelope to make an additional contribution. Not only will the most generous diners get a chance at a week of luxury, so will their waiters! The 80+ participating restaurants are listed below.
