Murder in Little Woods: 10:41am, 10100 block of Curran Blvd. The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in New Orleans East. He was transported to the hospital where he expired.
Shooting on Crescent City Connection Bridge: 6:20pm, US 90 East near the Tchoupitoulas Exit. The victim and his friends were driving, in line at the Crescent City Toll Plaza waiting to pay the toll. The line was moving very slowly. The driver of the vehicle directly behind them began honking his horn. The victims stated that they believed the driver was impatient. After paying the toll and continuing over the bridge, the driver behind them pulled along their right side and began yelling at them. The driver spit in their direction, and the victims yelled back. As they approached the Tchoupitoulas exit, the driver produced a silver handgun, aimed it at the victims, and fired at least one shot. The bullet penetrated the front passenger door, grazed the victim’s thigh, and lodged into the seat. The vehicle then fled eastbound on I-10 East. One of the victim took a picture of the perpetrator’s vehicle with his cell phone, but the Louisiana license plate was illegible. The victims described the perp’s vehicle as a dark-colored, late-model Nissan Altima. It was occupied by two black males. The driver was described as 20-25-years-old.
Stabbing in Gert Town: 9:21pm, Erato and S. Telemachus Streets. The female victim was stabbed in the face and arms.
Armed Robbery in Lower Garden District: 10:44pm, Josephine and Camp Streets. The victim, a 26-year-old woman, was getting into her car when an unknown black male with a gun approached her, demanding her purse. The victim complied and the perp fled on foot.
Armed Robbery of a Juvenile: 10:49pm, Felicity and S. Robertson Streets. The victim, a 15-year-old male, was approached by an unknown black male armed with a gun, demanding money. The victim gave the perp his phone. The perp fled.

Armed Robbery of Olde Town Inn: 1:40pm, 1001 Marigny Street. An unknown black male entered the Olde Town Inn in the Marigny Rectangle, produced a handgun, and demanded money. The employees complied, handing over cash and a personal cell phone. The suspect fled. The suspect is described as in his 30s, 5’08”, mustache, short afro, and a yellow reflective vest.
iPhone Snatcher Nabbed: 3:15pm, Downman and Morrison Roads. A 19-year-old man was arrested for taking the victim’s iPhone, then trying to sell it near the above corner.
Joe Got Mad: 6:00pm, 6th District. The victim was playing basketball with an acquaintance known to him only as “Joe.” The victim and “Joe” began to argue. “Joe” grabbed the victim by the neck and placed a gun against his head. “Joe” then fled on foot.
Low Blow Stabbing: 6:05pm, 4100 block of Gibson Street. An arrest warrant was issued for a 19-year-old man, who stabbed the victim in the genital area during an argument in their home.
License Plate Thief: 6:55pm, 5900 block of Press Drive. A license plate was removed from a parked car.

Shooting in Lower Garden District: 1:19am, 500 block of Saint James Street. Upon arrival, officers found the victim lying on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim initially told officers that an unknown black male had walked up to him, shot him, and ran off. AS EMS gave aid to the victim, he changed his statement to the cops. He said he left The Venue (1755 Tchoupitoulas) with a known female, her boyfriend, and another unidentified female. They were driving in a white Dodge Charger when, for reasons the victim did not explain, they stopped in the 500 block of Saint James Street, and the victim exited the car. As the victim got out, a black male approached him and opened fire. The victim told cops the name of the person he believes shot him, and that he lived near Josephine and Clara Streets, but he did not provide an age. He said the perp was wearing all black clothing and a hat. The victim also said that he believed the known female friend had “set him up,” and that she was affiliated with the neighborhood group known as “3NG.” Doctors said the victim’s injuries were probably not life threatening, but that he may have spinal cord damage and faces possible paralysis.
Crossdresser Robs Liberty Bank: 11:57am, 3000 block of Gentilly Blvd. An unknown black male dressed as a woman entered Liberty Bank, implied he had a gun, and demanded money. The teller complied and put cash in 5 different bags. The suspect then fled.
Big Drug Bust: 1300 block of Dwyer Road. ATF and NOPD narc agents busted Bill Vo, 26, of Michoud for running a high-tech marijuana-growing business out of a residence in New Orleans East. Agents seized more than 100 plants. After being placed under arrest, Vo admitted to detectives that he “had a few more pounds” at his other residence in the 5400 block of Privincial Place. Detectives searched that property and seized 15 pounds of pot, two rifles, three 12-gauge shotguns and two handguns. Vo had in his possession a sum of $175,000 worth of weed.
Stabbing at Shell Gas Station in New Orleans East: 2:05pm, Morrison and Read. The victim, a 26-year-old man, was sitting inside of his 2006 red Dodge Charger, talking on his cell phone when he was approached by an black male wearing a red/black Bulls cap. The perp reached inside of the driver’s side window and stabbed the victim in his upper chest, then fled in a dark green or blue Nissan sedan.
Murder in Gentilly: 3:57pm, 2100 block of Selma Street. The victim, 17-year-old Marc Canty, III, called police as he was being chased by several armed males. He told police the identity of one of the suspects, 17-year-old Marquis Matthews, over the phone, before the suspects approached the victim and fired several times. The victim was shot multiple times in the back and head. He was pronounced dead on the scene in the backyard of a residence. Witnesses came to police and provided a physical description of Matthews. Police have a warrant for Matthews’ arrest for Second Degree Murder. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Car and Foot Chase in Lower Garden District: 7:28pm, Annunciation and Felicity Streets. Cops attempted to pull over a car for disregarding a red traffic light at the above intersection. The driver began to flee from the officers, until he crashed into a city light pole at the intersection of Felicity and Religious Streets. The perp got out of the car and fled on foot down Rousseau Street, where he was apprehended. Corey Dillon, 23, was in possession of ¾ of a pound of marijuana and a stolen gun. The gun was found to be reported stolen from an auto theft on 501 Convention Center Blvd. Dillon is also a person of interest in an ongoing homicide investigation, which occurred in the 1200 block of Simon Bolivar.
Crossdressing Crook Robs The Mushroom: 9:55pm, 1037 Broadway. Two unknown black males, one dressed in a black dress and a wig, walked into The Mushroom posing as customers. The crossdresser asked to use the bathroom as the second suspect stood at the door as lookout. The crossdresser then walked around the counter and demanded the employee open the safe. As the employee opened the safe, the crossdresser placed a revolver into his waistband underneath the dress. The other suspect ordered a second eomployee to open the safe in the manager’s office. The pair ultimately fled on foot with over $2,000 in cash. Surveillance footage led to the arrest of the crossdresser, Adonis Harris, 24, on June 26th. The unidentified second suspect is still on the loose.
Stabbing in Central City: 10:07pm, S. Saratoga and Third Streets. The victim, a 22-year-old man, was jumped by two unknown black males. One of the subjects cut the victim on the shoulder with an unknown object. The victim was transported to the hospital.

Armed Robbery in Lower Garden District: 7:57am, 2000 block of Magazine Street. The victim, a 52-year-old woman, was sitting in her car in a parking lot when an unknown black male ran toward her, gun drawn. He demanded money. She rolled down the window and complied, handing him cash. When the subject left with her cash, the victim called her daughter. While on the phone, the victim saw the perp running again towards her, gun drawn. She told her daughter to call 911. The perp pointed the gun at the victim and asked if she had money in her bank account, to which she replied, no. Then the perp demanded her phone. She complied. The subject ran away. The victim began driving out of the driveway when she saw the perp place her phone down on the ground, and flee. The victim’s daughter, walking to meet her mother, saw the perp crossing Magazine Street, before losing sight of him. The perp is described as 5’5”, 14-16-years-old, dark complexion, and a yellow bandana covering his face.
Murder in Berhman: 7:10pm, 2000 block of Cypress Acres Drive. A witness saw the victim walking in the area, and then heard two gunshots. A white PT Cruiser was spotted leaving the area. The victim sustained two gunshot wounds to the chest and stomach. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Shooting in New Orleans East: 7:46pm, 14700 block of Chef Menteur Hwy. A man forced his way into a residence and started arguing with a female. The father of the female then came to the location and fired two shots in the air. A 24-year-old male bystander was hit in the stomach.
Armed Robbery, Canine Arrest: 9:48pm, 3500 block of MLK Blvd. Three men were sitting on a porch when they were approached by a man on a bicycle with a gun. The perp demanded money. The victims complied. The subject fled with their wallets westbound on South Miro. The victims called the cops. Cops canvassed the area, found the subject, attempted to stop him, but he ditched the bike and began running to the 2300 block of Magnolia. Cops set up a perimeter and called in the canine unit. Loren Gordon, 21, was apprehended, and positively identified by the victims.

Stabbing: 2:13am, 3300 block of South Claiborne. The victim, a 21-year-old male, was stabbed in the right forearm by an unknown Hispanic male. The victim was transported to the hospital.
Juvenile Arrested with Tampered Ankle Monitoring Device: 3500 block of S. Saratoga Street. Officers were patrolling the area when they saw a juvenile and another male subject constantly looking back at the cops. The two subjects began to act nervous and entered an abandoned property. The officers investigated; the two subjects ran. The officers pursued the subjects and were only able to detain one of them. The apprehended subject was wearing an ankle monitor that was tampered with. The juvenile was also in possession of two masks. The juvenile was found to be on house arrest awaiting court proceeding on an armed robbery violation in New Orleans.
Shooting in Central City: 8:21pm, 3200 block of LaSalle Street. The victim, a 16-year-old male, was knocking on a friend’s door when shots rang out. He sustained gunshot wounds to the left arm and thigh. The victim is listed ins table condition at the hospital.

Stabbing: 1:30am, Arts and N. Tonti Streets. The victim, a 48-year-old man, was involved in a physical altercation with the perp, 45-year-old Rhonda Broghin, when Broghin stabbed the victim in the upper left chest with a large kitchen knife. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Armed Purse Snatching: 6:14am, 100 block of Basin Street. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, was walking when an unknown male in a black 4-door car asked for a cigarette. When the victim obliged, the subject pulled out a gun, snatched her purse containing cash, and fled the scene.
Murder in Gentilly Woods: 6:17am, 5000 block of St. Ferdinand. Frederick Anderson, 37, was shot multiple times to the upper body and head. He died on the scene.
Armed Robbery of Skateboard: 6:26pm, 9900 block of E. Rockton Circle. The victim, a 16-year-old male, was approached by an unknown black male, who showed the victim a gun in his waistband. The suspect demanded the victim’s skateboard; the victim complied.
Driveby in Central City: 8:23pm, 1200 block of Simon Bolivar. The victim, a 19-year-old male, was standing in the area when a car drove by and fired four times. The victim suffered one gunshot wound to his left foot.
Threat, Shots Fired: 9:00pm, 2500 block of Robert Street. The victims were sitting on the steps of a residence when two unknown black males drove by on bicycles. One of the bikers pointed a revolver at the victims and said, “I’ma shoot you.” The two subjects continued riding their bicycles past the victims toward the 5000 block of Magnolia. As the subjects arrived at the intersection, the suspect fired two shots into the air, then fled.
Armed Robbery of Autozone in Hollygrove: 9:47pm, 8200 Earhart. Two unknown black males entered Autozone and forced an employee to open the safe. After the employee complied, the perps fled in an unknown direction.

Armed Robbery in Central City: 11:47am, Delachaise and S. Liberty. The victims, two males, were working on a house when they were approached by two unknown black males, one armed with a black semi-auto handgun. The victims gave the suspects cash. The suspects then fled.
Armed Robbery in Carrollton-Riverbend: 1:17pm, 1100 block of Dublin St. The female victim was walking to her car parked in the 2200 block of Cambronne St, when a teenage boy surprisingly appeared from two parked cars, armed with a chrome revolver. The suspect demanded her purse. She threw her purse and car keys to the suspect, then ran. The suspect fired a single shot at her, but missed. The suspect fled in the victim’s car. The victim is described as young, black, thin, athletic build, wearing a fisherman’s hat, black t-shirt and black pants.
Wig Bandit Robs Motel 6: 4:20pm, 4200 Old Gentilly Blvd. A black male wearing a female’s wig and carrying a black cotton tote handbag walked into Motel 6. He approached the front desk posing as a customer, until he brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim raised his hands, backed away from the counter, turned and ran down the hallway. The victim did not relinquish any money to the suspect, who fled westbound on Old Gentilly Blvd.
Shooting in Gert Town: 4:42pm, 3400 block of South Carrollton Ave. The victim, a 21-year-old woman, and her friend finished eating at McDonald’s and got in their car. An unknown black male approached the vehicle and opened fire. The victim sustained one gunshot wound to the back. The victim’s friend drove her to University hospital.
Wig Bandit Strikes Again: 4:50pm, 3032 Elysian Fields. A black male with a wig and tote bag, who police say robbed a Motel 6 a half hour before, walked into Shell Gas Station and approached the cashier, posing as a customer. The perp then brandished a black and silver handgun and demanded money. The victim opened the register and relinquished $677 cash to the perp. The perp fled southbound on Elysian Fields.
Armed Robbery of B Express: 4:51pm, 3101 Elysian Fields. An unknown black male entered the business, demanding all of the money. The cashier complied. The suspect fled with cash.
Armed Purse Snatching: 11:14pm, 1600 block of Tech. The victim, a 39-year-old woman, was walking through a parking lot when she saw a car leaving the parking. The suspect, an unknown black male, got out of the car, approached the victim, and demanded her purse. The victim complied. The suspect fled with the victim’s purse and personal belongings.

Generator Thief: 7:42am, 1700 block of Benefit Street. An arrest warrant was issued for a 52-year-old man for taking a generator from a pickup truck at a job site.
Home Robbery: 12:44pm, 7000 block of Milne Blvd. The front door of a residence was forced open. Items were moved around in the bedroom, but nothing was reported missing.
Threat in Gentilly: 8:50pm, Mandeville St. and Prentiss Ave. An 18-year-old male was arrested for threatening the victim with a handgun during the course of an ongoing dispute.
Armed Robbery of Wedding Ring: 10:22pm, Mirabeau and Wisner. The victim, a 27-year-old woman, and a friend were walking along the bike path when they were approached by an unknown black male. The suspect produced a weapon and demanded the victim’s possessions. The victim complied by giving up her wedding ring. The suspect fled.
