Cosimo Matassa Enters Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame

As of Saturday night, J & M Studios is a Hall of Fame name. Vaunted New Orleans record producer Cosimo Matassa was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame at the Cleveland chace's annual induction ceremony. Matassa, who was the man behind the boards on early records by Little Richard, Professor Longhair, Dave Bartholomew and countless others, was inducted by Robbie Robertson of The Band and Robbie Robertson fame.

Matassa's words of acceptance remain a mystery in reports like these that focus on Guns n Roses and The Beastie Boys, but New Orleans music fans might get a crack at hearing him at least briefly when the ceremony airs on HBO starting May 5.
