Comedy Get Down to Come to NOLA for Round Deux

Even in a city as dominated by artists as New Orleans, rarely do you get the opportunity to experience the top talents in an industry under one roof. Four living comedy legends aim to remedy that, as Cedric The Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and George Lopez are scheduled to stop by NOLA in an epic fall show.

The comic quartet is scheduled to take over Smoothie King Center on Friday, October 6th. Its a continuation of their massively successful Comedy Get Down tour, which last rolled through the arena in November 2015.

For those born without a funny bone, together the comedy quad has created countless movies, television shows, and comedy specials. Cedric The Entertainer is best known for his roles in Barbershop, The Steve Harvey Show, the Madagascar series, and as the original host of Showtime at the Apollo. His costar in The Original Kings of Comedy D.J. Hughley was creator and star of the ABC/UPN sitcom The Hughleys, as well as correspondent on The Jay Leno Show and host of CNN’s D.L. Hughley Breaks the News. Eddie Griffin is a prolific stand-up comedian and sometime actor, named by Comedy Central as the 62nd greatest stand-up of all time. Rounding out the lineup is George Lopez, known for his work on namesake programs like three-camera ABC sitcom George Lopez, talk show Lopez Tonight, and the current TV Land single-camera sitcom Lopez. Charlie Murphy, an original member of the Comedy Get Down crew, died in April 2017 following complications due to leukemia.

Presale begins on Wednesday (8.2) at 10AM, while general public can purchase on Friday (8.4) at 10AM. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster
