Christmas Concerts Return to St. Louis Cathedral

The holidays and church go hand-in-hand, but in the case of St. Louis Cathedral's December series, the union is in the service New Orleans' other higher power. Once again, exalted sounds and environs come together for a series of Christmas concerts in the sanctuary of the Jackson Square wonder. Click through for the full schedule:

Organized as always by Christmas New Orleans Style, this year's slate offers up gospel (Melody Clouds, Zion Harmonizers), classical (Opera Creole, Musaica). As ever, New Orleans music favorites like fiddle queen Amanda Shaw, piano man Davell Crawford and trumpeter Jeremy Davenport, are also in the mix.

The concert will also take it to the streets one night, as Sunday, Dec. 8, offers a chance for caroling through the Marigny.
