Terrible Trio: Man Beaten, Robbed in CBD (VIDEO)

Three men administered a brutal beating in the CBD early Sunday morning to take a man's wallet and cell phone. About 3:45 a.m., a man and woman were walking in the 400 block of Carondelet Street. Video shows three men - one in cook's pants and one with a towel hanging from his belt - walking separately, then quickly surround the couple. The man is then hit from behind. Click through to watch the incident:

Once the man is knocked down, two other men approach and start beating him. Even after he's down, the attackers continue to hit the man. Eventually, the assailants grab the man's wallet and cell phone. One of the robbers drops the man's cell phone, then picks it up as the trio runs away.

The woman was not harmed in the incident, police said.

NOPD is still searching for the three suspects.

One suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25-30 years old. He is 5 ft. 1in. tall, weighing approximately 190-210 pounds. Police say he is clean shaven, and was wearing a green baseball cap, black t-shirt and black and white striped “cook” style pants.

A second suspect is described as an African American male, approximately 25-35 years old. He is 6 ft. 1 in. tall, weighing approximately 175 pounds. He has long braided hair, and was wearing a white/striped T-shirt and blue jeans.

A third suspect is described as an African American male. Approximately 30-35 years old. He is 6 ft. 1 in. tall with a thin build, clean shaven bald head and was wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt and blue jeans.
