Bobby Jindal Jumping Into the Veep End of the Pool

Now that most of his vetoes are out of the way, Bobby Jindal can turn his attention back to the part of his job that really gets him going: running for Vice President. The governor is building a fortress of buzz around himself as Mitt Romney and his campaign prepare to get serious about plucking a running mate from the GOP's red carpet of hopefuls. He may not be an actor like the Governator, but Jindal is nonetheless earning acclaim for some of the parts he's played.

Business Week paints a portrait of the governor as a parent, author and mutual fund holder. In the critical realm, he's getting praise from the Fiscal Times for his role as a surrogate, while National Journal lauds his turn as Scott Walker. Still, despite the groundswell of support, Jindal will not be officially annointed a contender until James Lipton weighs in.
