Bey to Bring her Honey to NOLA

Last year, Beyonce spent a lot of time in Louisiana during shoots for her “Formation” and “Lemonade” videos, but the Crescent City did not make the cut for a tour to support the new projects. On Thursday (5.05), the Queen Bey remedied that omission, adding a NOLA stop to the Formation World Tour.

Beyonce is now scheduled to play the Superdome on September 24th. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 13. Amex cardholders can but early, from 10a.m. on May 6th through 5p.m. on May 11th. Seats range from $45 to $255, plus the inevitable fees.

Beyonce played with husband Jay-Z (the same man who apparently cheated on her with Becky with the Good Hair) in 2014. In 2013, she played Essence and famously ordered 150 po-boys from Parkway. Of course, earlier that year, she also played the Super Bowl during the notorious blackout game.

The initial absence of NOLA was peculiar given the heavy does of Louisiana in her recent works. References ranged from Katrina to an NOPD police camera to extensive footage of 'da Dome itself.
