By Sara Slaugher for Room 220

The Waves, a new quarterly LGBTQ reading series, will hold its first reading of 2016 at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at Antenna Gallery (3718 St. Claude Ave.)  The series will present local and visiting writers alongside emerging and student voices to encompass a multigenerational LGBTQ perspective.

Room220: The Waves Reading Series

The literary scene in NOLA boasts several centuries of heritage. In the last few years, Press Street's Room 220 is turning the lens onto some new additions. Tonight (5.14), The Waves, their LGBT reading series, will present a star-studded showcase of local queer literary talent at 7p.m. at the Press Street HQ (3718 St. Claude Ave.).
