Storm’s a comin’! The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a slew of alerts and warning for South Louisiana for Tuesday (2.23) and Wednesday (2.24). The agency warns that severe storms, high winds, and even tornados could strike the region soon.

Meteorologists are cautiously optimistic that Tropical Storm Erika will not pose a threat to New Orleans. Instead, the National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting that the fifth named storm of the Atlantic season will hit Cuba before veering north through Florida.


Hard Freeze Gonna Fall


The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a series of advisories for New Orleans and southeast Louisiana today. Bottom line, it’s going to get cold. Accounting for wind chill factors, temperatures could drop into the teens tonight.


NOLA Under Flood Watch for Next 48


While the Northeast was battered by storms, NOLA received the gift of good weather on Christmas. However, storms a’ comin’. The National Weather Service (NWS) has placed Southeast Louisiana and parts of Mississippi under Flood Watch until Sunday afternoon.
