Funeral for Wardell Quezergue is MondayThe Creole Beethoven will get his requiem tomorrow in the Seventh Ward. The funeral of Wardell Quezergue, the legendary arranger, producer and bandleader who died last week at the age of 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Corpus Christi Church (2022 St. Bernard Ave.). From Fats Domino to Professor Longhair to Paul Simon, Quezergue worked with many of the luminaries of American music.
