Panel to Explore Human Rights in Haiti, After the Earthquake

You don't have to be a Rolling Elvi to help those in need in Haiti. Tonight in Espalande Ridge, a provocative panel will bring first-hand accounts of the devastation that continues in Port au Prince in the wake of the 2010 earthquake that rocked the Carribean island nation. The discussion, titled "We Bend, But We Don't Break" features a trio of New Orleanians who are actively assisting Hatians suffering from a lack of housing and cholera, and explore the human rights crisis taking place in the small country. It will take place at Community Book Center (2523 Bayou Road) beginning at 6 p.m.
